unpathed waters undreamed shores is an audio exploration and celebration of Navy Pier, Shakespeare and water. Commissioned for the 400th anniversary of Shakespeare’s death.
A personal journey into Shakespeare’s words and imagination, amongst the pearls, the tempests, the wrecks, the sea-changes of life, love, death, transformation and beauty that roll in on the waves of his genius.
Performed in and around the environs of Lake Michigan and Navy Pier, undreamed shores leads audiences on a personal contemplative passage through Shakespeare’s life-long engagement with the imagery of water, sea, tears, oceans and its living visceral relationship with ecology, our interiors, and on into the shores of our own lives today.
You feel like you are on a higher plane… You have been made to think about why you live where you do and what all that means.

Sometimes it feels revelatory, …to lie down and look up at the carnivalesque pier, seeing them from new perspectives.
